Call for Papers for an INFER-University of Duisburg-Essen and GUC Workshop

Development Economics versus Secular Stagnation - Are There Any Interdependencies?

International Network for Economic Research, University of Duisburg-Essen and German University in Cairo jointly organize the workshop on Development Economic and Secular Stagnation. Important keynote: Ulrich Volz (SOAS London). The workshop will take place on 16 and 17 November 2018 at University of Duisburg-Essen in Essen/Germany. 

The deadline for paper submission is November 8, 2018

The workshop focusses on 3 Areas:

1.     Development Economics

2.     The Theory of Secular Stagnation and

3.     Potential Interdependencies between Secular Stagnation and Development Economics

Papers/abstracts can be submitted to all three Areas.

Selected Papers will published in a special issue in Applied Economics Quarterly and International Economics and Economic Policy

Workshop fee is €100 for INFER members and €200 for non-INFER members.

Special Issue on "Impact of Brexit on Financial Markets" of the International Journal of Financial Studies

As the guest editor, Prof. Belke would like invite to contribute a paper to a special issue of International Journal of Financial Studies on the "Impact of Brexit on Financial Markets".

The IJFS is an international, peer-reviewed, scholarly open access journal on financial market, instruments, policy, and management research published quarterly online by MDPI. It is indexed among others in EconLit (AEA).

The deadline for manuscript submissions is 31st of March 2018.

International Ruhr Energy Conference 2018: "Uncertainties in Energy Markets"

Conference Objectives:

This conference seizes the occasion to investigate the various sources of uncertainty and risk in the energy field along with the latest methodological developments to cope with them. Contributions from all areas of energy-related research in economics, finance, engineering, social sciences and mathematics are welcome.

The conference language is English. The standard participation fee is 180€. There are reduced fees for speakers (150€) and full-time students (60€), as well as an early registration discount of 30€ for standard participants and speakers. The best paper will be awarded the GEE Best Paper Award and receive a prize of 500€.
